Unreal speedrun demos: In-game map runs - Na Pali mission pack runs - Custom map runs

Note: Working demo downloads! It seems http://www.3ddownloads.com/ have changed their download directory structures to something remotely sensible so the links to my demos should now work (albeit via an intermediate window which is typical of gaming download sites). The map downloads may well not work but I assume you have or can find those otherwise.

Introduction:
I've done the first ever Unreal speedruns, first ever Return to Na Pali speedrun, and first ever Unreal custom map speedruns. Though Unreal has also been run by as a full game run, by Grob at the UDQ site, the demos here are still the only demos that start each level from scratch. They also sometimes feature some excellent tricks.

Unreal speedruns - in-game maps:

How to play Unreal demos:
Unreal demos require specific playback instructions, and detailed instructions are attatched to each demo.
NOTE: these are mostly version 2.24 demos - see this text for more details on versions and playing demos. Some recent demos are version 2.25f demos, these are marked. 2.25f is even buggier for demo playback, and has some additional effects:
1. Pressing fire initially puts the chase cam onto a monster's perspective, you will need to press it 2 or 3 times to cycle it to following the player. 2. 8Ball firing and some other noises are missing from the demos.

Passage: "Sacred Passage" - Unreal skill run in 0:40
Passage: "Sacred Passage" - Unreal skill run in 0:40 ( v2.25f )
Another cool, cunning trick, just as clever as the Dasapass and Skycaves runs.

Ruins: "Temple of Velora" - Easy skill run in 1:24 ( v. 2.25f )
Longish run, but still using an enormous 8Ball jump shortcut to save plenty of time.

Trench: "The Trench" - Easy skill run in 0:48
Smooth run with some good rocket jumps.

Isvkran4: "ISV Kran Deck 4" - Easy skill run in 1:25
A more normal run, with just rocket jumps, and a clever shortcut.

Isvkran32: "ISV Kran Deck 3&2" - Easy skill run in 0:48 ( v. 2.25f )
Cool little run using the Jump Boots (for a change) to take a big shortcut.

Skycaves: "Gateway to Na Pali" - Easy skill run in 0:58
The first in-game run I did, with an impressive and suprising Krall jump trick, very cool.

Skytown: "Na Pali Haven" - Easy skill run in 2:22 ( v. 2.25f )
Long route with two major timesaving shortcuts, both using Krall staff jumps!!

Dasapass: "Dasa Pass" - Easy skill run in 1:06
One of the harder in-game runs I did, using the same exciting Krall jump trick to get over the main gate.

Extremecore: "Mothership Core" - Easy skill run in 1:02 ( v. 2.25f )
Unexpected run where getting an 8Ball off a generous Skaarj allows some large 8Ball jump shortcuts.

Unreal speedruns - Return to Na Pali mission pack:
You need the highly acclaimed Unreal mission pack "Return to Na Pali" to view these demos.

How to play Return To Na Pali demos:
Unreal demos require specific playback instructions, and detailed instructions are attatched to each demo. All Return To Na Pali demos were recorded with the boxed version of Return To Na Pali.

Nevec: "Neve's Crossing" - Easy skill run in 0:53
Obvious shortcut, gained by an awesome Grenade+ASMD jump, followed by more Grenade boosts.

Glathriel2: "Glathriel Village" - Unreal skill run in 0:40
Very fast run, with a huge shortcut using a very hard and unusual Flying Manta boost.

Crashsite1: "The UMS Prometheus" - Easy skill run in 0:50
Another huge shortcut, using an extremely hard Grenade+Rocket jump, took ages to do.
Or: Crashsite1: "The UMS Prometheus" - Easy skill run in 0:48
A different route with lots of grenade boosts, actually a slower route than above, but a cleaner run.

Velora: "Velora Temple" - Easy skill run in 1:48
The token "normal" run, just using 8 Ball jumps, but still a decent shortcut despite the time.

Nalic2: "Nali Castle 2" - Unreal skill run in 0:30
That good old Krall staff boost is used for this massive shortcut, making it an extremely quick run.

-------------------------------------------------------

Unreal speedruns - custom maps:
These demos require custom maps to play, all maps are linked for download, but if there's any problems, try Nali City.

Crashonnapali: "Crash on Na Pali" - Easy skill run of Map 2 in 1:00 ( v. 2.25f )
Another large, and obvious, shortcut with the obligatory Krall staff boost/jump =).

Damncastle: "Damncastle" - Easy skill run in 1:27
Another cool run, fairly long but using an outrageous trick jump and a large shortcut.

Gate2: "Return Home" - Easy skill run in 1:20
Despite the time, this has another major shortcut with a cool trick, and it's very nice map too.

Hexephet: "Hexephet" - Easy skill run of Map1 in 0:54 ( v. 2.25f )
Straightforward, obvious and very large shorcut using a standard 8 Ball jump.

Infest: "Infestation" - Easy skill run in 0:26
Excellent speedrun, with an good ASMD trick as a huge shortcut, very cool indeed.

Lowerson: "Lower Shrine of Nakesh" - Easy skill run in 0:30
By far the hardest run I've done, a very big shortcut with a simple but desperate trick.

Oneday: "One Day" - Easy skill run of the entire episode in 1:43 ( v. 2.25f )
Easy jump shortcuts, but very cunning routes to complete the episode in a ridiculous time!!

Sirius38f3: "The Unknown Planet" - Easy skill run in 1:15
Another damn cool run, using six (yes, six!!) ASMD core boosts to "climb" a mountain.

Strangeworld1: "Strange World Part 1" - Easy skill run in 1:20 ( v. 2.25f )
Big shortcut right across the top of the map using a novel Krall boost + ASMD boost combination.
(Note: this map is the original map, as a seperate download, not the map that is in the full StrangeWorld episode.)

Tarmation2: "A Rude Awakening" - Easy skill run in 0:52 ( v. 2.25f )
Very easy and obvious jump to make a very easy and obvious shortcut.
